Blackstone El Dorado is ideally positioned to take full advvantage of the surrounding acres of natural open space and rolling hills with milds of a community trail system throughout the 990-acre master plan.

Residents will enjoy two active neighborhood parks for tennis, basketball, a lot lot and shade picnic areas. The third 5-acre village park site is “passive” with trails and park benches.

Blackstone is located within the Buckeye Union School District which includes five elementary and two middle schools. The Buckeye Union School District will break ground on a new K-3 elementary school in June 2011. The El Dorado Union High School District serves the region with four high schools.

Valley View School Site Press Release

The Buckeye Union School District is pleased to announce the groundbreaking for an elementary school to be built on a 13 acre parcel located in the Blackstone Master Planned Development within the Valley View Specific Plan in El Dorado Hills.

The commencement of construction activities is the result of a collaborative effort between the Buckeye Union School District, the State of California School Facility Program and the master developer of Blackstone, West Valley LLC. West Valley LLC is a partnership between AKT Development and Lennar Communities. West Valley LLC and the District worked together to develop the funding for the new elementary school, including the formation of a Mello Roos Facility District to provide for one-half of the funds needed to acquire and construct the school. The school district’s application and eligibility for funds within the State School Facility Program provides the remaining half of the funds that are needed.
